Tunisian President Zein El-Abedin Ben Ali sent a written message to the Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein in which he directed an invitation to the Jordanian monarch to visit Tunis. The Tunisian president assured in his message that his country pays special attention to the permanent relations between the two countries in the interest of enhancing these relations to serve the two countries' joint interests. The Saudi Cabinet with the chairmanship of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz warned against the Serbs' continuation of driving Kosovo's people from their homes, killing or displacing them. The Cabinet called for exerting more efforts to ensure protection and provide food and medicine to the refugees. Go

The Jordanian weekly al-Hadath said that leaders from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine residing in the Palestinian Authority's territories asked the Palestinian government to pressure Israel to permit the entry of its leader, Nayef Hawatemah, to Israel. President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon has asserted Lebanon's refusal to agree to any security arrangements with Israel to facilitate the withdrawal of Israeli troops from south Lebanon and the western Bekaa. At a reception held on Monday with a delegation from the Lebanese Phalange Party, led by Munir al-Haj, the Lebanese president stressed Lebanon's adherence to its sovereignty over every inch of land. The Jordanian weekly al-Hadath said that well-informed Jordanian sources have denied that the Jordanian government approved a request made by leader of the Israeli Labor Party, Ehud Barak, to visit Jordan. The paper quoted the sources as saying that Israeli political figures asked to meet with King Abdullah in Jordan. The paper added that the Jordanian-Israeli meetings are postponed until after the Israeli elections. Go
