Head of the Algerian opposing labor party urges president to convene a conference for reconciliation

Louisa Hanoun, head of the Algerian new opposition party, urged the new president to use his constitutional powers to convene a national conference for peace and reconciliation.
Hanoun said in a press conference she convened the day before yesterday at the international center for press in the Algerian capital that participation must be made in this conference by parties and political fronts and effective charters especially leader of Islamic front currently prohibited.
In reference to the withdrawal of the six candidates from presidential race hours before the election, Hanoun criticized this withdrawal referring that doors must be closed before any new slips could bring Algeria back to Zero point and revealed that she called president Zeroual on the eve of elections for convincing an urgent meeting for representatives of parties and the those who withdrew from the election.
