Moroccan trade minister meets Kuwaiti peer

Moroccan Trade Minister Alami Tazi, conferred Monday in Rabat with visiting Kuwaiti peer, Hisham Solaiman Al-Otaibi, on ways of fostering trade exchange and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two men reviewed the business opportunities offered in both states and stressed the need to encourage contacts between Moroccan and Kuwaiti entrepreneurs.
Morocco's economic performance, the evolution of Kuwaiti investments in Morocco, the industrial sectors interesting Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and the incentives granted by Morocco to foreign investors were also brought up during the talks.
Al-Otaibi, who arrived last weekend in Morocco, met the same day with Moroccan minister in charge of the Maghreb, Arab and Islamic world, Abdesslam Znined. Talks covered bilateral relations and latest developments on the Arab and international scenes.
Kuwait is among the major trade partners of Morocco in the Gulf region. Morocco's exports to the Gulf countries consist mostly of phosphates, fresh food, canned fish and ready-to-wear garments, while imports are dominated by oil, plastic and chemical products.
