Jordanian king in Damascus tomorrow

King Abdullah Bin al-Hussein of Jordan starts an official visit to Syria tomorrow in the context of an Arab tour which will cover Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, UAE and Libya.
In statements to reporters following his return from Libya on Sunday night, he said that his visit to Damascus will "mark the beginning of a new page of relations between the two sisterly countries."
SANA reported that the visit tomorrow is at the invitation of Syrian President Hafez Al-Assad, and that talks will deal with bilateral relations, development in the region, and international arena.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian daily al-Aswaq said that King Abdullah of Jordan's visit to Damascus is considered a starting point in a new phase of Jordanian - Syrian fraternal relations. The Jordanian daily indicated the need in the Arab region for further coordination and cooperation on all issues, foremost of which being the cause of Palestine and the Middle East peace process so as to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that restores rights to their owners, especially in the Golan Heights and south Lebanon.
King Abdullah, meanwhile, received a message from Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali in which he extended an invitation to King Abdullah to visit Tunisia.
