Israel escalates aggression against Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday continued to launch attacks on areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said Israeli heavy artillery shelled the flow of al-Zaharani river and the outskirts of Jabaa town.

The sources added that Israeli warplanes continued to fly in the airspace of south Lebanon and the Western Bekaa.

Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces on Monday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of Habboush.

The bombardment covered the woods of Sujoud, al-Rayhan and Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district. Intensive low-altitude sorties were carried out by Israeli warplanes over the western and central sectors of south Lebanon, and Israeli reconnaissance planes covered part of south Lebanon.

Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces attacked the hills and heights of al-Tuffah district. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery stationed in al-Zaffata bombarded the towns of Mleita, Lweizeh, Sarba, al-Tuffah district, Jabal Sujoud and the Litani and al-Zahrani river areas. The aggressions were accompanied by heavy charges targeting the mountain roads that link al-Tuffah district to the occupied strip of south Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes carried out provocative and mock raids at low latitude over the central and western sectors as well as the districts of al-Nabatieh and al-Tuffah.

Further reports from south Lebanon said the Lebanese resistance said that three resistance groups using rockets and heavy machine guns attacked the Israeli positions in Sujoud, Beer Klab, and Kassaret al-Aroush. The main fortifications of the positions were destroyed and direct hits were scored.
