Lebanese president rejects arrangements with Israel

President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon has asserted Lebanon's refusal to agree to any security arrangements with Israel to facilitate the withdrawal of Israeli troops from south Lebanon and the western Bekaa. At a reception held on Monday with a delegation from the Lebanese Phalange Party, led by Munir al-Haj, the Lebanese president stressed Lebanon's adherence to its sovereignty over every inch of land.
He noted that the official and people's stands are inseparable concerning confrontation of the Israeli occupation with every means available.
