Morocco's El Moaziz wins London marathon

Moroccan racer, Abdelkader El Moaziz, won on Sunday the London prestigious Flora Marathon. El Moaziz covered the 42 km-long distance in 2:07:57 ahead of Portuguese Antonio Pinto and Spanish Abel Anton.
El Moaziz had ranked second in last year's edition of the same marathon.
The women's marathon was captured by Kenyan Joyce Chepchumba, followed by Adriana Fernandez of Mexico and Manela Machado of Portugal.
Meanwhile, the manager of the English meetings of Shefield and Gateshead proposed a contract to Moroccan athletes, Nezha Bidouane and Hicham El-Guerrouj, to participate in the two meetings.
Under the contract, to be concluded this week in London, El-Guerrouj, World champion and recordman on 1500 m, and Bidouane, world champion on 400 m hurdles, will undertake to show up for three consecutive years in the Shefield and Gateshead meetings.
The two meetings are listed on the IAAF (world athletic body) Grad Prix.
