Egyptian president congratulates Algerian president-elect on winning election

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak sent a cable of congratulations to Algerian president-elect Abdul Aziz Bouteflika in which he expressed his wishes Bouteflika's success in his responsibilities to achieve what Algerian people's hopes of stability and dignity.
Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid also sent president-elect Bouteflika a message in which Abdul Meguid congratulated him and emphasized necessity of working for Algeria's stability, continuing to combat terrorism and terrorists, supporting Arab joint work, working to end disputes and regathering the Arab Maghreb Union.
