Three Palestinian committees to be formed on state's declaration
Palestine, Politics, 4/19/1999

The central council of the Palestinian Liberation Organization is due to hold a meeting on April 27 with three committees being formed to deal with state declaration issues.

A Palestinian source confirmed that the central council will not take a final decision in this meeting to either go ahead with or delay the declaration of a Palestinian state, which will give the three committees the permanent form till after May 17, the date of holding Israeli elections, when the situation will become clear for the Palestinians concerning who will lead the Israeli government.

It is said that there is a movement to form three committees, covering political, legal and national unity aspects of the state's declaration.

Security sources told ArabicNews.com that the council's meeting will not be as previous meetings since calls to opposition organizations to attend will be made, and already several calls were issued to leaders of Fatah.
