Arab higher education ministers meet in Riyadh today

Arab ministers of higher education and scientific research open today the works of their seventh conference in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. During their three-day deliberations the conferees will discuss several topics on scientific research, and the challenges of the 21st century.

These challenges include laying the map of priorities for research projects in institutions of higher education and scientific research, boosting informatics networking and producing universities and the mechanism for marketing results of scientific research in the service of development and society.

Delegations taking part in the conference represent the Arab League federation, the federation of Arab scientific research councils, the Arab federation for technical education, ALESCO, the Arab education office for the Gulf states and UNESCO's office for education in the Arab states.
