Syria celebrates evacuation day

Syria today celebrated the 53rd anniversary of her evacuation Day, when the last French soldier left Syria on April 17, 1946.
The occasion which was widely celebrated in every, city, town and villages in the country was marked by large mass rallies and inauguration of key services and economic projects.
Most of these festivities were observed by the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan heights where the people of Syria under Israel's occupation renewed their adherence to restore the Golan back to the motherland Syria. In a statement issued on Friday, marking the occasion, the citizens pledged to continue their commitment to the land and confrontation of the Israeli occupation to achieve victory and liberation.
