Holland exports $300 million more than it imports from Egypt
Egypt-Netherlands, Economics, 4/17/1999
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the Netherlands amounted to nearly $500 million in 1998 in favor of Holland, as Egyptian exports to Holland amounted to $100 million while imports from Holland amounted to $400 million.
Due to the imbalance in trade in Holland's interest, the idea of establishing an Egyptian trade center in Holland has appended Egyptian exports. Holland occupies the second position in agricultural exports to Egypt after the USA.
Exports from Holland to Egypt include agricultural and industrial tools, means of transportation, and foodstuffs such as cereals and cheese, while Holland's imports from Egypt include vegetables, fruits, cotton, chemical and medical substances, textiles, petroleum, and garden plants.
