Delegation from the British House of Commons is visiting Egypt
Egypt-UK, Economics, 4/16/1999

A delegation from the British House of Commons is currently visiting Cairo under the chairmanship of deputy Ken Purchase to address developing bilateral relations between Egypt and Britain and also to tour major historical sites in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.

The delegation met with Egyptian Minister of Tourism Madouh El-Beltagi, who explained the importance of the Egyptian tourism industry and the development it has witnessed especially in the last year. He also noted Egypt's attractive elements and the marketing campaigns made by the Ministry of Tourism abroad.

The Egyptian minister reviewed with members of the British delegation incentives and guarantees for investment granted by the Egyptian government to Egyptian and foreign investors, especially in the field of tourism development, which encouraged the establishment of high-class tourism resorts along the Egyptian coasts.
