Mayor of Riyadh to start Asian tour
Saudi Arabia-China, Politics, 4/16/1999

The mayor of Riyadh, Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz is to head to China for a formal seven-day visit at the invitation of Beijing, at the beginning of Prince Salman's tour to Asia, which is to include South Korea.

During his visit to China, the Saudi prince will meet with Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

The Saudi and Chinese officials are to discuss recent developments in Kosovo, Iraq and announcing the opposition of Saudi Arabia to what is taking place in Kosovo, in addition to the development of the peace process in the Middle East.

Furthermore, they will discuss bilateral economic cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia.

They are also to sign an agreement for trade cooperation between the two countries and to discuss the increase of the trade exchange volume between the two countries, which amounted to $1.7 billion last year.
