Israeli may maintain partial withdrawal from south Lebanon

The Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas quoted Lebanese political sources as saying that Israeli forces may within the next few days maintain a partial withdrawal from the districts of Jezzine, Marjeyoun and Bint Jbeil in an attempt which falls in the context of using south Lebanon as a campaign issue in the Israeli elections, and quoting people coming from south Lebanon as saying that there is "great unrest in the ranks of the South Lebanon Army militia after Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Arens announced last week his backing for withdrawal from certain positions and handing it over to the Israeli-allied militia.
