Dutch assembly for engineering industry in Alexandria worth 100 million

The association of investors in the free zone in Alexandria agreed to establish an assemblage for engineering industries with a capital of 100 million pounds with Holland's participation on a space of 33,000 meters.

The project provides 300 jobs in the first stage and reaches 1500 jobs in the following stages.

Mohammed Ahmedin, chairman of the association's board of directors, told ArabicNews.com today that the assemblage will produce parts used in electronic industries like television, video, radio, computers, refrigerators, washing machines, heaters, cars, ships, furniture, decor, establishing stable and suspension bridges, manufacturing towers for electric generation, the petroleum industry, petrochemicals and pipelines in addition to steel nails.

Ahmedin said implementation of the project is expected to start during the current year and that the Dutch experts will arrive in the coming week in Alexandria to start the executive steps of the project.
