Reestablishing Egyptian - Japanese business council

Japan's embassy in Cairo started an intensive move for reestablishing the Egyptian - Japanese business council which has stopped working for three years.

The new council aims at activating joint cooperation among business organizations in the two countries.

This agreement is expected to be signed in May between the Egyptian Industrial Union and the Japanese trade and industry chamber.

This agreement comes in the light of increasing the volume of joint cooperation between Tokyo and Cairo especially, after the visit paid by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to Tokyo, which witnessed the signing of many agreements for economic and technological cooperation.
