Mubarak confirms his Asian tour produced positive results
Egypt, Politics, 4/14/1999

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak described his Asian tour as significant and said it will lead to useful results for Egypt and the countries he had visited -- China, South Korea and Japan -- in light of the various agreements signed in the three countries.

In his meeting with Egyptian newspapers' chief editors during his trip from Tokyo to Abu Dhabi, Mubarak said that despite being tired, the positive results and the benefits achieved during the talks held on the political, economic, technical, cultural and trade levels, as well as the various trade agreements and contracts signed, removed any tiredness.

During his meeting, Mubarak discussed how businessmen in the three countries have shown great interest in working in Egypt, and he said they raised many questions and inquiries.

He said some of the businessmen, especially those who are working in Egypt and have projects there, called for some facilities, "and I promised them to achieve it immediately."
