Gadaffi confers with Sudanese opposition leaders today

Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi is going to meet today in Tripoli with former Sudanese prime minister and head of the opposition Ummah party, El-Sadeq El-Mahdi, who headed to Libya to take part in the meetings of the Sudanese opposition to discuss means of achieving reconciliation with Khartoum and ending the war in Sudan.

Meanwhile, El-Mahdi said that Libya is seriously concerned with the situation in Sudan and that "our strong relation with Libyan president push him to hold meetings so as settle the crisis in Sudan," adding that the discussions will focus on means of restoring the natural situation in Sudan.

He also pointed out that they set up for the talks during the visit of a delegation from the opposition to Libya last month, clarifying that the Libyan call included all leaders of the opposition who members in the National Democratic Alliance.
