Syrian Parliamentary delegation arrives in Brussels

Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly (parliament) Abdul Qader Qaddoura arrived in Brussels on Saturday night to take part in the deliberations of the 101st conference of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The conference, which opened on Sunday under the patronage of the king of Belgium, will deal with issues pertaining to political, economic and social conditions in the world and encouraging parliaments to sign and ratify the agreement for the non-proliferation of nuclear tests and taking nondiscriminating measures to prevent nuclear contacts and to work towards eliminating all nuclear weapons, as well as solving nuclear-related problems in areas surrounding cities as a world challenge to which the parliamentarians have to respond accordingly.
