Israeli sources announced on Sunday that US Undersecretary of State Martin Indyk, who arrived Israel earlier in the day, will brief Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the results of the talks he held in Damascus recently with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad. Israel radio quoted these sources as saying the talks will also deal with conditions in south Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
