Two Moroccan ministers in USA shortly
Morocco-USA, Politics, 4/8/1999

Moroccan Ministers of Finance and Economy Fathallah Oualalou and of the government's general affairs, Ahmed Lahlimi, will visit the United States by the end of this April.

"The goal of the visit is to give a new momentum to Morocco-US ties," American ambassador in Rabat, Edward Gabriel, told Morocco's "2M" TV.

He also noted that the Moroccan-American long-term cooperation program deals mainly with structural reforms, investment and opening US market to Moroccan products.

At a meeting held recently in Rabat with Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, chairman of the US House international relations committee Benjamin Gilman said Washington is ready to alleviate Morocco's debts, enhance economic cooperation with Morocco and increase US investments in the North African country.
