Jordanian parliamentarian calls for halting normalization with Israel

Member of the Jordanian Parliament Muhammad al-Bataynah has called for halting normalization with Israel and to link such steps with the progress in comprehensive settlement on all peace process tracks, including the Israeli withdrawal from the Golan and south Lebanon according to international resolutions.

In his intervention before the Jordanian Parliament on Wednesday to discuss the statement of the government of Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh, on the grounds of which al-Rawabdeh won the confidence of the Parliament, the Jordanian parliamentarian indicated attempts made by Israel to raise fears and doubts in several "fraternal Arab states" through disseminating rumors concerning Jordan.

He also spoke of the great importance for relations with sisterly Arab states maintain in the Jordanian foreign policy. He called for exerting all efforts to strengthen these ties with the Arab states.
