Morocco calls for lifting embargo against Libya

Morocco called on Tuesday for the lifting of the embargo enforced against Libya since 1992, after the north African country transferred two Libyan suspects in the Lockerbie affair to the Netherlands for trial. "We believe that the next stage should be the lifting of the embargo," said Khalid Alioua, spokesman of the government, following a cabinet meeting.
