Jordanian monarch to visit United Arab Emirates

Jordan's King Abdullah will arrive in the Unied Arab Emirates today after a visit to Saudi Arabia.

Sources accompanying the king said the visit comes according to the desire of the late Jordanian King Hussien to open a new page in regional relations.

UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan will meet with King Abdullah tomorrow to discuss increasing Jordanian employment in the UAE, specifically for doctors, engineers and laborers as well as the increase of trade exchange between the two countries.

Moreover, the sources said the two kings are to address the development of the situation in Iraq, the importance of halting the US - British attacks on Iraq, the refusal to divide Iraq, efforts to lift sanctions and to remove the gap between Iraq and both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the unity of the Arab states, comprehensive reconciliation and an Arab summit to reconcile the Arab states.
