UAE, France to carry out joint military exercise

The joint military exercise "Gulf 99/1" will start within the coming days in the United Arab Emirates in which troops from the UAE Army and the French forces are taking part. The Gulf News Agency said troops from all UAE armed forces formations are taking part in the exercises.
"Gulf 99/1" with the French forces falls in the context of a series of joint exercises carried out by UAE and French forces in the course of a united strategy to unify joint action between the two countries.
