Morocco and Thailand sign agreement on merchant navy

Morocco and Thailand signed on Monday a cooperation agreement on merchant navy, a statement of the Moroccan ministry of transport and merchant navy announced.
The signing ceremony was chaired by Moroccan minister of transport and merchant navy, Mustapha Mansuri, who started Friday a work visit to Thailand, and Thai minister of communication, Suthep Thaugsuban.
The Moroccan minister's visit to Thailand is part of Morocco's strategy to conquer markets in south-east Asia and to identify cooperation prospects between the two countries in transports.
The agreement was initialed in November 1997 in Rabat.
