Jordanians implement efforts to fight normalization with Israel
Jordan, Politics, 4/5/1999

Chairman of the resistance fighting committee at the Jordanian trade union's complex, Ali Abu al-Sukkar, has asserted that the committee is about to complete a list including names of Jordanian companies, factories and figures who have normalized ties with Israel in medical, engineering, industrial, pharmaceutical and construction fields.

In a statement to the Jordanian daily "All the Arabs" Abu al-Sukkar described this list as the first of its kind. He added that the list will be published and distributed among the trade unionists on a large scale and the committee will circulate it among the public.

He continued that by doing so the committee seeks to defy and resist those who seek normalization with Israel, adding that their work "has an adverse impact on the national economy and the homeland."

He said the committee started at the beginning of this year a vast campaign to resist normalization and revitalize the decisions of the general commissions of the trade unions to this end.
