On the troubles of al-Hariri

The French daily Liberation said on today that the aim behind the accusations directed in Lebanon against the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri aims to prevent his coming back to power once again.
The French daily added the "Municipality Fund" case currently raised against al-Hariri in Lebanon is a "political" one and aims at preventing the return back of al-Hariri as a prime minister during the Lebanese President Gen. Lahoud current term of office.
The French daily explained that President Lahoud since his election as President for the Lebanese Republic in November 24, 1998 announced that the state "stolen funds will be restored back. And when President Lahoud replaced the former Premier al-Hariri by Dr. Salim al-Hoss, the latter put this objective ( of restoring back the sums) as his own goal."
