Morocco's leading group posts $1.6 billion in sales
Morocco, Business, 4/3/1999
Morocco's leading private group "Omnium Nord-Africain" (ONA) said it posted in 1998 a gross sales of over US $1.6 billion (16.03 billion DH), marking a 2% increase in comparison with 1997.
The group's president-general manager, Fouad Filali, said ONA has also succeeded in reducing its debts considerably. Food industry remains the major value-added sector for the group, he said.
Progression in the sectors of food-industry (US $30.1 million or 298 million dh) and retail (US$ 13.7 million or 132 million dh) has compensated for poor performance in other sectors.
