Egyptian delegation to address problems of Egyptians in Gulf
Egypt-Gulf, Politics, 4/3/1999

Assistant foreign assistant for Egyptian affairs abroad, Assem Megahed is to start a Gulf tour with a delegation from different ministries and concerned departments.

Megahed said that this private tour will include Sanaa, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Kuwait, Riyadh and Jeddah.

The ambassador said this tour has main goals: to convene meetings with members of Egyptian expatriates in these states aimed at informing them about the recent political, social and economic developments taking place in Egypt, to learn about problems facing Egyptians in these states, and to present investment opportunities available for their financial savings in Egypt.

The second part of this tour, the ambassador added, will include several meetings with officials in Gulf states to discuss the Egyptian expatriates' situation and any possible concerns.
