Russian foreign minister carries communique from Yeltsin to Khatami

Iranian President Mohammed Khatami held contacts today with Islamic leaders inside the OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference, of which Iran is current president), in which he called on them to coordinate the positions during their intitative with international and regional organizations and the permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council to put an end to the suffering of Moslems in the Balkans.
Moreover Khatami denounced the raids launched by NATO in Yugoslavia and criticized Belgrade's government for not carrying out the Yugoslavian constitutions of 1974 and for not admitting the autonomy of Kosovo. He placed responsibility for the current crisis in Balkans on the Yugoslav government.
Meanwhile, Russian FM Igor Ivanov will arrive in Iran this week for an official visit in order to Balkan the ties between Russian and Iran.
The Iranian sources added that the Russian official will meet his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharazi to discuss development of situation in Balkan, Iraq and gulf region.
