Saudi trade minister visits Japan

Saudi Trade Minister Osama Fakih left Riyadh yesterday for Japan at the head of a Saudi delegation concerned with Saudi Arabia's efforts to joining the World Trade Organization.
The Saudi minister said he will discuss with Japanese officials the request of Saudi Arabia to join the organization, Saudi commercial policies and the stage of Saudi development.
He said he will present classifications for goods, services and the transitional period to help Saudi Arabia meet to the conditions of becoming a member.
The Saudi minister has visited Belgium, Canada, and the USA where he held talks on the same issue.
