Beirut affirms unity of Lebanese, Syrian negotiations

Lebanese Information Minister Anwar Khalil reiterated yesterday that the Lebanese and Syrian peace process tracks are united in negotiations with Israel and attempts to separate these two tracks are efforts to dictate conditions to Lebanon and to obstruct achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
In another development, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced yesterday that European Union Middle East peace procss envoy Miguel Moratinos will hold talks with high-ranking Lebanese officials that address the Middle East peace process and Europe's efforts to restart negotiations on the Lebanese and Syrian tracks.
Meanwhile, a delegation from international human rights organizations met yesterday in Beirut with Lebanese citizens expelled from Lebanese regions occupied by Israel in the south. The delegation is setting up a file about the situations of the expelled Lebanese citizens.
