Increasing Egyptian fabric and textile exports to the US

The annual report of the Egyptian commercial bureau in Washington noted an increase in the share of Egyptian exports of fabrics and textile products in total Egyptian exports during 1998 in comparison to 1997.
The report added that Egyptian exports of ready-made cloths to the United States during 1997 reached $307.3 million in comparison to $356.4 million in 1998, a positive change of 16%.
The report said that these exports do not fall under to the textile import share system that allocates set shares for imports from each country.
