The French chief of staff visits Morocco and Senegal

General Jean Sier Calsen, the chief of staff of the French forces, arrived yesterday in Dakar, Senegal at the head of a delegation for a three-day visit in which he will be received by Sengalese President Abdou Diouf.
The formal talks are to begin today between the two sides headed by Minister of the Armed Forces Cheikh Hamidou Kane on the Senegalese side, to discuss the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries and review the situation in the region.
General Jean Sier Calsen will head to Rabat to hold similar talks with Moroccan officials, a statement released by French embassy in Cairo said today.
