Russian parliament head meets President Mubarak

Igor Sotreyev, the speaker of the Russian parliament expressed his country's desire to enhance bilateral relations between Russia and Egypt and confirmed that there are large opportunities to increase bilateral cooperation, especially economic cooperation and trade exchange, between Egypt and Russia.
Following his meeting with President Mubarak yesterday the Russian official said there are fields of cooperation in this concern where Russia can import Egyptian cotton in return for Russian tools and machines used in industry.
Sotreyev also said a number of Russian provinces that the delegation includes expressed their country's desire to increase the volume of cooperation with Egypt and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
He also expressed his and his delegation's happiness about meeting Mubarak, saying that a good and friendly atmosphere prevailed the meeting.
He pointed out that they reviewed the international situation during the meeting, where the Russian delegation listened to Mubarak's point of view toward Iraqi and the Kosovo situation.
