Two of them will be inaugurated for the first time since they were discovered, with the other four cemeteries were renovated and repaired.

Meanwhile, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received Clinton yesterday at the presidency's headquarters, where they discussed means of enhancing Egyptian - US ties through cooperating on several projects, such as raising the standard of living for low-income citizens and the health care of citizens.

Clinton said her meeting with Mubarak, tackled regional issues of joint interest, as well as Egyptian - US cooperation in family planning, motherhood and children related issues.

She expressed her appreciation to President Mubarak for his role in the peace process and achieving development and expressed her admiration of Egypt's efforts in the field of family planning and motherhood sponsorship. "Earlier today, when I met with President Mubarak, I mentioned that the conference that was held here in Cairo in 1994 was a very important conference in the world because it linked girls' education and reproductive health with development and economic progress. I believe that Cairo really led the way on that conference and that the work that is being done in Egypt, both by the government and by NGOs, is really making a difference and fulfilling the ideas behind the Cairo Conference.," Clinton said.

She added, "I'm very encouraged by what I see and I'm particularly encouraged, as I mentioned to the President this morning, about the work that is being done in Egypt on education and health care. Egypt recognizes that in order to have a positive, prosperous future, girls need to be educated as well as boys."
