Hassaka governor confers with Turkish counterpart

The governor of Hassaka, a province in northern Syria, on Monday received the governor of the Turkish Mardin district, Fikrat Koufan, who is currently visiting Hassaka in order to boost ties between the two neighboring states.
A meeting was held between the two sides to discuss a number of issues of common concern to both Hassaka and Mardin.
Harnb underlined the importance of exchanging visits with a view to enhancing relations to serve common interests.
Koufan expressed happiness over the visit which he said is conducive to strengthening bilateral ties.
The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues, including setting up two border centers in order to organize meetings between the Syrian and Turkish sides.
