Generous rainfall in Damascus following a season of drought On Saturday and Sunday and after a long winter of severe drought. Rain fell heavily in the Damascus areas and outskirts.
It was for the first time during this year when it rained during the 24 hours until 8: 00 p.m. of Sunday night. Rainfall average was as follows during the said 24 hours: Damascus 2mm Quneitra, 20 mm, Serghaya (outskirts of Damascus ) 14 mm with some snows, al-Nabk 1 mm, Homs 5 mm, al-Rastan ( an area near Homs ) 17 mm, Hama 21 mm, Aleppo 10 mm, Idleb 28 mm, Lattakia 1 1 mm, Tartous 26 mm, al-Hassaka, 4 mm, al-Qamishli and al-Raqqa 22 mm.
