Crown prince launches exhibition on itinerary of Moroccan dynasties
Morocco, Culture, 3/20/1999
Moroccan Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed launched on Friday an exhibition on "the cultural itinerary of the Almoravides and Almohades" dynasties.
Co-sponsored by Spanish association "El Legado Andalusi" (The Andalusian legacy), the Spanish presidency council, the council of culture of the Spanish local government of Andalucia and the Moroccan Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the exhibition, held this March 19 through April 18, features Moroccan-Spanish shared cultural heritage.
Moroccan Minister of Cultural Affairs Mohamed Achaari explained that the itinerary of the Almoravides and Almohades dynasties represented since the 11th century roads for the movement of ideas and experiences through which people traded productions, poems, music, medical innovations, astronomy, agriculture and philosophy despite problems and violence.
