US First Lady Hillary Clinton to begin Egypt visit tomorrow

US First Lady Hillary Clinton will start a visit to Egypt tomorrow, during which she will tour the Fatmids in Cairo and ancient Egypt areas to observe Coptic and Islamic antiquities. She will also tour Luxor, including Karnak temple, King's Valley and Queens' Valley.

U.S. diplomatic sources in Cairo said that Ms. Clinton's visit will last several days and aims at supporting US - Egyptian cooperation and friendship relations.

During her stay in Egypt she will witness the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Camp David peace accords with Israel and inspect some USAid projects in Egypt.

She will also deliver a lecture in the American University in Cairo and will meet with Egyptian businesswomen.

Ms Clinton has been a champion of women and children's rights and has actively engaged herself in these issues seeking to guide practical policy in the developing countries to improve the plight of women where they usually have minimal legal, social and economic rights.

Her trip will include touring Egypt's famous historic sites.

Meanwhile, Egyptian businesswomen are going to take part in an Arab businesswomen's conference on March 24 - 25 in Tunisia. The Egyptian delegation includes Yousseria Louza, Mona Makram Ebid, Laila Tekla, Dalia Khalifa, the Salma Shaker, and Ferfenda Hassan.
