Joint investment projects between Egypt and Kazakhstan

Ibrahim Fawzi, head of Egypt's general organization for investment and free trade zones discussed yesterday in Cairo with a commercial delegation from Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, mayor of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan the possibility of establishing joint investment projects in the fields of mineral resources, building supplies, metal and food industries.

They also discussed establishing projects for building and running industrial free trade zones and establishing permanent contacts among businessmen in the two countries to pave the way for establishing a joint business council.

Such a council would aim to support and encourage bilateral cooperation between the private sectors in the two countries and make initiatives that are supported by the governments of the two countries to increase cooperation between them.
