Libya establishes the first Oasis in Toshka

The first Oasis in the Toshka area is being established with Libyan investment and financing in the framework of the Egyptian - Libyan joint plan for establishing four similar Oases in the new cities in the South Valley, Rafah, Sinai, Sidi Barani and the desert road between Cairo and Alexandria to serve development projects and face increasing tourism movement.

The Oasis comprises a station for providing the necessary fuel needs for means of transportation, working equipment, basic instructure projects, and cultivating lands in the area, a hotel with 40 rooms and a meeting hall in addition to a group of shops, fast food restaurants equipped with advanced equipment and technical laborers for maintenance and repair operations.

These projects will be carried out by Tham Oil Company at a cost of 9 million pounds and will be established in 19 months.
