The Bahraini Shiite opposition residing in London -- namely Sheikhs Hamzah al-Deiri, Haidar al-Satri and Ali Salman -- on Wednesday called for releasing their leader and other detainees after assertions made by Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa that he will make no discrimination between citizens.
In a statement the three opposition member said "It is not possible that a citizen would feel equality while his relatives and friends are under arrest. Therefore let's start the treatment and heal the wounds through freeing the detainees, especially Sheikh Abdul Ameer al-Jamri."
