Arab parties in Israel oppose Bishara nomination for the Cabinet
Israel, Politics, 3/17/1999
Israel Radio said on Tuesday that the Arab parties in Israel, especially the united Arab list (both its Arab democratic and Islamic movement wings) as well as the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality oppose the nomination of member of Arab-Israeli Knesset member Azmi Bishara for the Israeli Cabinet.
The radio report added that the Arab parties said such a nomination would be a service to the rightist candidates, especially to current Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu, candidate for the Likud party.
