US official arrives in Qatar

Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani met on Monday in Doha with Commander in Chief of the US Central Command Gen. Anthony Zinni and members of the accompanying delegation. The Gulf News Agency said talks dealt with relations between the two countries and several issues of mutual concern.
Earlier in the day Zinni arrived in Doha for a brief visit. The US general's visit to Doha comes following the tour made by US Defense Secretary William Cohen last week.
