AL chief confers with Jerusalem bishop in exile

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid received in Cairo on Sunday the bishop of Jerusalem in exile, Helarine Cappucci, and discussed with him the question of Jerusalem and means of finding effective Arab and international support for the Arab and Palestinian rights in the city.
Following the meeting, Bishop Cappucci praised the position advocated by the Vatican in stating that "Jerusalem is for the Arabs" and the European Union position refusing to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
He called upon the Arabs to take a united position toward the question of Jerusalem.
