GCC foreign ministers meet tomorrow

Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states will hold on Sunday their 70th periodical meeting at the headquarters of the GCC in al-Riyadh.

An official source as the GCC general secretariat said in a statement today Saturday that the GCC ministers will discuss several issues of concern including the situation in the Gulf region, the Iraqi crisis, and the results of the tour of the US Defense Secretary William Cohen and the French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine visit to the region.

The topics to be debated by the GCC foreign ministers also cover the M.E. peace process in light of recent developments and the need of achieving a progress on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks as well as discussions on the joint Arab work document pertaining to means of developing the mechanism of common Arab activities.
