Iraq criticises the Arab League

Iraq on Friday strongly criticized the Arab league (AL) for not distributing the Iraqi memorandum on reasons why Iraq asked for enrolling the question of the Iraqi, Kuwaiti and Saudi missing on the agenda of the 111th session of the Arab League AL council due to be held on Wednesday.

Iraq's permanent representative at the AL Sultan al-Shawi said in an urgent message of "blaming" to the AL that he regrets the stand of the AL general secretariat on not circulating this explanatory memorandum despite the fact that the AL procedures stress rapid distribution and circulation of any request or memorandum submitted by any Arab states.

Well informed Arab sources in Cairo expected Iraq to re-debate the issue on the ground only to be limited to the Iraqi missing or this issue to be totally lifted from the agenda of the AL if the Iraqi delegation will persist to raise the provision of the dismissed in such a "contradictory" way which provokes each Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
